From 5th August 2025 we are changing the way you request an appointment. You will no longer have to phone at 8am and hold in the phone queue trying to get an appointment. You will be able to request an appointment online between 7.45am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
When you complete a form online, a clinician will triage your request and make the most appropriate decision for your medical need. You can request an urgent or routine appointment, if you request an urgent appointment you must be available to visit/speak to a clinician within 48 hours (Monday to Friday).
Those unable to use our website can continue to call us on 01444 414767, or visit the practice, and a receptionist will complete the form for you and as with the online form it will be triaged by a clinician. We encourage everyone who can use the website to request an appointment this way to ensure our phone lines are free for those who need them most.
We understand that change can be unsettling for many and appreciate your patience while we all settle into this new way of working. Other local practices, who have already adopted this new method of requesting appointments, report that after the initial teething problems the majority of patients much prefer the convenience of being able to fill in a form and not hold in a phone queue.
