Nurse Clinic

We have two nursing sisters who have undertaken specialist training and run surgeries in the same way as the Doctors. Please consult them for any acute or minor illnesses. The Receptionists will be happy to advise you of the areas covered by the two Nurses who work under agreed guidelines and will always, when necessary, refer patients to a Doctor.

General Medical Services

These include minor surgery, contraception, maternity, child health surveillance and immunisation. Clinics provide routine care of diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure, flu clinics for the over 65's and at risk annually.

Test results:
These can be obtained from the surgery by phoning after 2pm each weekday. Please allow a minimum of:- three days for urine results, two days for blood results and two weeks for X-ray's from the date taken. Other results will vary but the minimum wait will be one week.

Minor Surgery:
The doctors undertake regular minor surgery clinics, including freezing treatment of warts and verrucas. We hold a minor surgery clinic on Monday afternoons in the upstairs Treatment Room.

Breast Screening
All women aged between the ages of 50 and 64 years old will be invited for breast screening every three years. Breast screening is recommended to help find small changes in the breast before there are any other signs or symptoms, if changes that could be potentially harmful are found at an early stage, there is a higher chance of successful treatment, if necessary.

Family Planning:
We are happy to discuss all forms of family planning and are able to provide most forms of family planning.
